The Eagleby garden club
The Garden Club was formed from a series of free Gardening Workshops, designed and run by the Eagleby Community Centre, the Eagleby Residents Action Group and Community Renewal.
The people who attended these workshops decided to form the Eagleby Garden Club on the
Aims of the Garden Club.
The Eagleby Garden Club seeks to give out information and education, and provides an opportunity for sharing, friendship and interaction with other gardening clubs
What do we do
Our end of the month meetings have much to offer including different, informative & interesting Guest Speakers, followed by a delicious morning tea. Sometimes we hold a hands-on workshop like doing floral arrangements or pruning plants or preparing a no dig garden.
We also periodically go on field trips and bus trips. And there’s been opportunities to purchase special plants and garden products at wholesale and discounted prices.
We offer a variety of prizes in our 3 for $1 raffle. And there’s bargains to be found in our Plant Stall consisting of plants, cuttings, gardening magazines and other useful items donated by members.
Our Motto: Friendship through Gardening.
Membership:
To join the Eagleby Garden Club costs $5.00 for annual Membership. Members receive a personalized nametag and entry to some Members only competitions. They also receive programs & handouts, 10% discount from Beenleigh Garden Supplies, access to the Club’s library and other special deals as they arise.
Admission Charges
We collect $2 entry from everyone who attends our meetings. This helps cover our running costs like hall hire, morning tea, guest speakers expenses, garden club affiliation fees, stationary, postage, and other incidentals.
Please note: In order to be covered by the Community Centre’s insurance policy all attendees must sign the attendance book on arrival
